Al terminar la construcción y dotación del balneario Boca chica, el Gobierno Nacional lo cederá a la Junta Cívica de Turismo de Cartagena para su administración el valor recaudado por concepto de su explotación comercial al sostenimiento del balneario y fomento del turismo en las playas vecinas al histórico monumento de fuerte de San Fernando.
