En el paseo de Bolívar, de la ciudad de Bogotá, se construirá un gran teatro al aire libre, que llevará el nombre de "Jorge Eliécer Gaitán". En sitio preferente de este teatro se colocará una placa que recuerde la desvelada preocupación que por la cultura del pueblo tuvo el insigne estadista, y los servicios que a ella prestó como Ministro de Educación, como Alcalde de Bogotá y como líder político.
