Decreto 1344 de 1970 · Por el cual se expide el Código Nacional de Tránsito Terrestre

Nadie podrá conducir vehículo alguno en el territorio nacional sin llevar consigo la licencia de conducción correspondiente. Están eximidos del deber de portar licencia

Los aprendices que conduzcan vehículos automotores, acompañados por un instructor autorizado.

Quienes en caso de retención, pérdida u otro motivo legal hayan obtenido de las autoridades de tránsito permiso especial para conducir. La vigencia máxima de este permiso será de sesenta (60) días hábiles.
