Los Contratistas, administradores se obligarán a vender las esmeraldas por conducto de los banqueros del gobierno en el Exterior, en las condiciones estipuladas en el contrato respectivo que el Gobierno tenga celebrado con dichos banqueros durante la vigencia de tal contrato.

Pero vencido este, no podrá ser prorrogado sino de acuerdo con los contratistas y con la Junta de Hacienda; y si no se verificare la prórroga, los contratistas quedarán en libertad de vender las esmeraldas por conducto de otras personas o entidades de acuerdo con el Gobierno y la Junta de Hacienda.
