ARTICULO 232. Procedimiento oficioso. El reconocimiento de las prestaciones sociales a que tienen derecho los Oficiales y Suboficiales de las Fuerzas Militares o sus beneficiarios, ser tramitado oficiosamente por el Ministerio de Defensa o por la Caja de Retiro de las Fuerzas Militares, según el caso. Cuando las Oficinas de Personal no puedan producir de oficio las pruebas pertinentes, corresponde allegarlas al interesado, y si no existiere la prueba principal, ser reemplazada por la prueba supletoria que admita la ley.
