Art. 4.° Las noticias estadísticas de que se trata en el artículo anterior bajo las letras a, b, c, d, n u i z, se procurará obtenerlas al levantar el próximo censo jeneral, a cuyo efecto se prepararán los trabajos necesarios. Respecto de los demas asuntos encomendados al Comisario de agricultura, éste dará preferencia a los estudios relativos a los principales artículos de esportacion, como café, tabaco, quinas i algodon, i a los principales artículos alimenticios, como trigo, maiz, papas, caña de azúcar i ganados.
