El Fonsecón tendrá como objeto recaudar y canalizar recursos tendientes a propiciar la seguridad y convivencia ciudadana para garantizar la preservación del orden público y todas aquellas acciones tendientes a fortalecer la gobernabilidad local y el fortalecimiento territorial, en el marco de la Política y la Estrategia Nacional de Seguridad y Convivencia Ciudadana.
