Los Directores de los establecimientos de castigo en donde se encuentre el reo a tiempo de hacer su solicitud, deben remitir la documentación sobre rebaja de pena directamente al Tribunal Superior en cuyo Distrito Judicial se halle el establecimiento. El Tribunal tiene un término de ocho días para emitir el concepto y enviar el expediente a la Gobernación del Departamento respectivo.
