° En cumplimiento de las disposiciones legales vigentes, en cada Municipio debe existir una Cárcel costeada y servida con fondos municipales. En toda cabecera de Circuito Judicial debe existir una Cárcel, en local suministrado por el respectivo Departamento, cuyos gastos de material, dirección y vigilancia son por, cuenta de la Nación. En toda cabecera de Distrito Judicial debe existir una Cárcel, que servirá como Cárcel de Circuito, en local suministrado por el respectivo Departamento, cuyos gastos de material, dirección y vigilancia son por cuenta de la Nación. En los respectivos edificios debe existir una completa separación entre hombres y mujeres, menores y adultos, sumariados y enjuiciados.
