º. Los créditos que otorguen las Corporaciones estarán siempre respaldados con hipoteca de primer grado.

Parágrafo

No obstante lo, dispuesto en el presente artículo, las Corporaciones podrán aceptar hipotecas de 2º grado en garantía de crédito, cuando la suma del crédito hipotecario preexistente y del que se va a garantizar con la segunda hipoteca, sea inferior a las dos terceras partes del avalúo dado al inmueble por peritos designados por la Corporación acreedora.
