En caso de destitución de los Gobernadores o Alcaldes, el Presidente o el Gobernador, según el caso, convocará a una nueva elección dentro de los dos meses siguientes. Mientras se realizan las elecciones, el Presidente o el Gobernador, según el caso, podrá encargar de la Gobernación o Alcaldía a una persona de la misma filiación y grupo político del destituido.
