La Universidad Nacional acordara con las directivas de la Universidad de Nariño la orientación de las Facultad de Agronomía de Pasto, así como sus programas y planes de estudio, a fin de buscar que ellos consulten el medio geográfico, sus condiciones agrícolas y las necesidades de productibilidad de este sector del país.
