Dirección y coordinación. De conformidad con el artículo 29 de la Ley 489 de 1998, el Sistema Nacional de Control Interno será dirigido por el Presidente de la República como máxima autoridad administrativa, apoyado y coordinado por el Consejo Asesor del Gobierno Nacional en materia de Control Interno de las entidades del orden nacional y territorial, el cual será presidido por el Director del Departamento Administrativo de la Función Pública.
