º La renovación de la Tarjeta de Identidad laminada cuando el menor llegue a la edad de catorce (14 años, será exigible únicamente a partir de la fecha en que lo determine la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil atendiendo al volumen de solicitudes, a su repartición por zonas y a la capacidad instalada de procesamiento. Entre tanto, conservarán plena vigencia las tarjetas inicialmente expedidas.
