Obtención de grados. Para obtener el grado de Subteniente de Vigilancia es requisito indispensable haber cursado y aprobado los estudios reglamentarios en la Escuela de Cadetes de Policía "General Santander" y ser propuesto para tal grado por el Director del referido Instituto Docente.
