El Gobierno Nacional, en homenaje a la memoria del Académico Ignacio Rodríguez Guerrero, ordenará erigir en la ciudad de Pasto, cuna del insigne Maestro, un monumento con la siguiente inscripción:

"Al ilustre humanista Ignacio Rodríguez Guerrero, la República de Colombia (Ley de 1984)".
