Las entidades privadas que hagan parte del Sistema Nacional del Deporte, tales como clubes, ligas y federaciones deportivas, en el marco de las funciones que tengan a su cargo, deberán establecer los criterios de selección y estrategias o programas de apoyo a competiciones para las etapas de rendimiento y de alto rendimiento, así como el apoyo para que los atletas y paratletas vinculados a esas etapas participen en eventos internacionales.
