º. Recursos del Fondo de Investigación en Salud. Los recursos del Fondo lo constituyen los dineros provenientes del 7% de las rentas obtenidas por la explotación del monopolio de juegos de suerte y azar diferentes del Lotto, la Lotería Preimpresa y la Instantánea, los cuales deberán ser girados mensualmente en los términos que dispone la Ley 643 de 2001. Estos recursos pertenecen a la Nación y están exclusivamente destinados a financiar los proyectos de investigación en salud de los Departamentos y el Distrito Capital.
