º. AMBITO DEL ESTATUTO . Por medio de este estatuto se regula la carrera profesional de los Agentes de la Policía Nacional y sus prestaciones sociales.

Parágrafo

El presente estatuto no rige para el personal del cuerpo auxiliar de la Policía, el cual está sometido al régimen de la Ley 2º de 1977 y demás normas que la reglamenten, adicionen o reformen.
