ARTICULO 56. Jurisdicción. Para efectos del servicio policial, cada Departamento en que políticamente se divide el territorio nacional y el Distrito Capital, tendrán un Departamento de Policía, cuya jurisdicción será la del respectivo Departamento o Distrito Capital. A nivel municipal la Unidad Policial será la Estación de Policía.
