La adjudicación de las becas se hará con carácter provisional durante los seis meses primeros de estudios. Los Directores de los establecimientos oficiales remitirán al Ministerio, seis meses después de empezadas las labores, un informe sobre los alumnos que han sido becados en ese año, en el cual detallarán las obresvacicnes hechas por los profesores sobre aptitudes y conducta de los becados del Médico, sobre la salud de los mismos, y vocación para el magisterio, en el caso de las Escuelas Normales. El Ministerio cancelará las becas que estime conveniente y adjudicará las demás en forma definitiva.
