Obligaciones del solicitante . Durante el trámite de que trata el presente decreto, el interesado en formalizar sus labores mineras deberá cumplir con los requisitos de orden ambiental establecidos por el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible a través de la guía ambiental que para el efecto se expida, y con el pago de las regalías respectivas, so pena de que se suspenda la actividad minera y el proceso de formalización, hasta que se demuestre el cumplimiento de dichas obligaciones.
