Las autoridades locales, con el acompañamiento del Ministerio de Cultura, seguirán los trámites y procedimientos pertinentes para la inclusión de las tradiciones musicales y dancísticas asociadas al Festival de Música del Pacífico Petronio Álvarez en la Lista Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial del ámbito Nacional y para la elaboración del Plan Especial de Salvaguardia de dicha manifestación, reglamentado en el Decreto 2941 de 2009.
