El Instituto de Seguros Sociales tiene su domicilio principal en la ciudad de Santafé de Bogotá, D.C., por disposición de su Consejo Directivo, podrá establecer unidades o dependencias, operativas o administrativas, regionales o seccionales y locales en cualquier lugar del territorio nacional, independientemente de la división política administrativa del país.
