Art. 33. Todo buque de vapor al salir de los puertos i durante el viaje, debe tener a bordo los siguientes empleados: Capitan ; Contador: un primer Injeniero ; un segundo Injeniero, que sea bastante competente para reemplazar al primero en caso necesario; un primer Práctico. un segundo Práctico, también con aptitudes para reemplazar al primero ; i dos Contramaestres, que se denominarán primero i segundo, ademas los candeleros, timoneles, carpinteros, cocinero, despendero i demas jente de la tripulación que sea necesaria para la buena administración del buque.
