Para ser Auditor de Guerra Superior se necesitan los mismos requisitos que para ser Magistrado del Tribunal Superior Militar. Para ser Auditor de Guerra Principal se requiere ser Abogado titulado y haber desempeñado por un año el cargo de Auditor Auxiliar o Juez Penal Militar. Para ser Auditor de Guerra Auxiliar se requiere haber terminado estudios de Derecho y ser persona de reconocida honorabilidad. El ejercicio de este cargo por tiempo no menor de un año, surtirá los efectos legales de la Judicatura Rural.
