Son aprovechamientos forestales únicos los que técnicamente se realicen en bosques localizados en suelos que deban ser destinados a usos diferentes del forestal. El permiso para aprovechamiento forestal único puede contener la obligación de dejar limpio el terreno al acabarse el aprovechamiento, pero no la de renovar o conservar el bosque.
