° El Ministerio de Agricultura, a través de la Dirección General de Producción, abrirá y llevará los libros de genealogías, donde deberán registrarse los ejemplares de razas puras de cualquier clase de ganado producido en el país o importado, y expedirá los certificados correspondientes. Existirá un libro único por cada una de las razas puras.
