El Ministerio de Minas y Energía determinará en cada caso, la extensión y límite de la zona objeto del aporte, sin tener en cuenta determinada forma geométrica. Pero si el aporte se hiciera a solicitud de particulares respecto de piedras preciosas, semipreciosas, berilo o glucinio, las solicitudes no podrán exceder de 50 hectáreas y requerirá concepto previo favorable de la Empresa Colombiana de Minas.
