Todo el que tenga interés en seguir un juicio para la efectividad de un derecho que no haya sido adquirido por cesión, o que tenga que defenderse del pleito que le hayan promovido y no pueda hacer los gastos del litigio sin menoscabar lo absolutamente necesario para su subsistencia y la de aquellas personas a quienes debe alimentos por ministerio de la ley, tiene derecho a que se le ampare para litigar como pobre.
