Origen. Crease la “Medalla Servicios Distinguidos a la Inteligencia Aérea” para estimular y premiar al personal de Oficiales, Suboficiales, Soldados y Personal Civil, que se haya destacado por su participación en operaciones de Inteligencia Militar, Inteligencia Técnica y Contrainteligencia, o a quienes se hayan distinguido por su capacidad profesional, técnica o sobresaliente dedicación a esta especialidad, al igual que entidades oficiales, particulares y personal que haya prestado eminentes servicios en contribución de la inteligencia Aérea, propendiendo por su desarrollo y proyección en la Institución.
