Objeto del FOPAT. El FOPAT tendrá como objeto recibir y administrar los recursos que lo conforman, de manera que permitan articular, focalizar y financiar la ejecución de planes, programas y proyectos del sector transporte relacionados con el ascenso tecnológico, la modernización y la transición energética, según corresponda, en los distintos modos y modalidades de transporte, de acuerdo con las fuentes generales o específicas de financiación que se establezcan para las subcuentas creadas legalmente o por el Gobierno nacional.
