Art. 1.° La República reconoce como digna de la gratitud nacional la labor patriótica a que dedicó gran parte de su vida el austero ciudadano y eximio hombre de Estado Antonio Roldán, natural de Charalá, y consagra su nombre a los anales de la patria, colocándole entre los beneméritos de ella en grado eminente.
