Se establece el 26 de noviembre como el Día Nacional de la Vigilancia y la Seguridad Privada. El Gobierno nacional, por intermedio del Ministerio del Interior, el Ministerio de Defensa Nacional, la Superintendencia de Vigilancia y Seguridad Privada y los gremios representativos del sector, podrán organizar actos protocolarios y culturales con el fin de destacar el valor y el compromiso de este grupo de trabajadores con la seguridad y la convivencia ciudadana.
