Si el Suboficial fallecido en servicio activo tuviere quince o más años de servicio, sus herederos en el orden preferencial establecida en este Estatuto, tendrán derecho a recibir una pensión mensual pagadera por el Tesoro Público, que se liquidará en la forma prevista para la asignación mensual de retiro y al auxilio de cesantía que le correspondiere.
