El Banco Agrícola Hipotecario podrá hacer préstamos directos a las cooperativas de producción agrícola legalmente constituidas, hasta por cincuenta mil pesos ($ 50.000) para adquirir tierras destinadas a parcelarlas entre los socios cooperadores, siempre que el plan de parcelación haya sido estudiado y aprobado previamente por el Gobierno. A medida que se vayan adquiriendo los terrenos, la cooperativa deudora constituirá hipotecas a favor del Banco acreedor como garantía accesoria del crédito.
