Art. 696. Las abejas que huyen de la colmena i posan en árbol que no sea del dueño de ésta, vuelven a su libertad natural, i cualquiera puede apoderarse de ellas i de los panales fabricados por ellas, con tal que no lo haga sin permiso del dueño en tierras ajenas, cercadas o cultivadas, o contra la prohibición del mismo en las otras; pero al dueño de la colmena no podrá prohibirse que persiga a las abejas fugitivas en tierras que no estén cercadas ni cultivadas.
