Ley 27 de 1926 · por la cual se organiza el Laboratorio Samper - Martínez y se señalizan unos sueldos

El Laboratorio se ocupará de preferencia en las siguientes labores:

Investigaciones necesarias para determinar la naturaleza de las epidemias y epizootias;

Preparación de sueros y vacunas y demás productos biológicos para combatir las enfermedades infecciosas;

Elaboración de sueros artificiales y demás productos biológicos y químicos que se usen en el tratamiento de las enfermedades infecciosas;

En las demás investigaciones y preparaciones bacteriológicas y químicas que ordenen la Junta directiva o el Director Nacional de Higiene y Asistencia pública.

Habrá un Departamento de producción de sueros antiofídicos.
