Dentro del Departamento de Contabilidad y Control funcionará la Caja General, cuyas funciones consisten en recibir todos los fondos que correspondan al Instituto y a los seguros que administre, y en efectuar los desembolsos de la institución, de acuerdo con los reglamentos contables y administrativos. El Cajero Principal responderá por la integridad de los fondos al cuidado de la Caja General, para lo cual deberá otorgar ante la Gerencia la caución que se establezca en los reglamentos.
