De acuerdo con lo establecido en el inciso tercero del artículo 253 del Código de Minas cuando el Comité de Política Minera, aborde temas relacionados con las zonas mineras indígenas o territorios indígenas, invitará a un representante de la División de Asuntos Indígenas del Ministerio de Gobierno y a un representante de la Organización u Organizaciones Regionales Indígenas, como mínimo, que tengan presencia en dichos territorios.
