La Nación se asocia a la celebración del tricentenario de la fundación del Municipio de San Gil, en el Departamento de Santander, que se cumplirá el diecisiete (17) de marzo de mil novecientos ochenta y nueve (1989), rinde tributo de admiración a la memoria de sus fundadores y exalta el espíritu progresista de sus habitantes.
