La presente ley tiene por objeto enaltecer y reconocer oficialmente la distinguida trayectoria histórica del Glorioso Colegio de Boyacá, primera institución educativa da naturaleza pública fundada por el General Francisco de Paula Santander, que acumula más de dos siglos de existencia. Con tal fin, se otorga autorización para adelantar proyectos y acciones destinadas a mejorar su infraestructura y asegurar la calidad educativo en el departamento de Boyacá.
