Las inscripciones realizadas en el Registro Nacional del Derecho de Autor son de carácter público y, en consecuencia, pueden ser consultadas en virtud del derecho de petición y conforme a sus principios reguladores. La reproducción de las obras editadas o inéditas y la consulta de las obras inéditas inscritas sólo se podrá realizar por los autores de ellas, por sus derechohabientes que acrediten tal calidad y por las autoridades judiciales o por quienes ellos dictaminen.
