El artículo 49 del Código de Procedimiento Penal quedará así:

Salvo disposición en contrario, la Policía conoce en primera y segunda instancia:

1º De las contravenciones.

2º De los delitos contra la propiedad que estén reprimidos con arresto o prisión, cuando la cuantía no exceda de cien pesos ($100.00).

3º De los procesos por lesiones personales que produzcan una enfermedad o incapacidad que no exceda de cinco (5) días y que no dejen a la ofendida lesión de carácter permanente ni defecto físico.
