Para dar cumplimiento a la segunda parte del artículo 2º de la Ley 89 de 1935 "sobre honores a la memoria de don Felipe Pérez," se autoriza al Gobierno para adquirir la finca en que hoy funciona el internado agrícola Felipe Pérez, situada en lugar cercano al del nacimiento de aquel ilustre repúblico.
