Art. 1983. Si el arrendador, por hecho o culpa suya o de sus agentes o dependientes, se ha puesto en la imposibilidad de entregar la cosa, el arrendatario tendrá derecho para desistir del contrato, con indemnizacion de perjuicios.

Habrá lugar a esta indemnizacion aun cuando el arrendador haya creído erróneamente i de buena fe que podia arrendar la cosa; salvo que la imposibilidad haya sido conocida del arrendatario, o provenga de fuerza mayor o caso fortuito.
