El objetivo de la sociedad Cerrejón Zona Norte S.A. será la participación en la explotación del Cerrejón Zona Norte en ejercicio de los derechos previstos en el contrato de asociación y sus modificaciones suscrito entre Carbocol e Intercor y la explotación de la concesión portuaria de Puerto Bolívar, así como participar en el desarrollo de proyectos carboníferos.
