La Intendencia de la Guajira continúa constituyendo una circunscripción electoral con facultad para elegir dos Representantes a la Cámara y el Consejo Intendencial.

Parágrafo

Para los efectos de la elección de Senadores, la Intendencia de la Guajira formará una misma circunscripción electoral con el Departamento del Magdalena.
