METEOROLÓGICA AERONÁUTICA DE
COLOMBIA EN LÍNEA
ONLINE AVAILABILITY OF COLOMBIAN
AERONAUTICAL METEOROLOGICAL
INFORMATION
1 PROPÓSITO
1 PURPOSE
To
establish
guidelines
for
flight
crews,
airport
administrators,  and  operations  personnel,  enabling  them
to  access  aeronautical  meteorological  and  climatological
information virtually (online), with the purpose of facilitating
access to essential information for operational safety, as
generated by the meteorological service for air navigation.
2 JUSTIFICACIÓN
2 RATIONALE
The  Colombian  Aeronautical  Regulation  RAC  203
Meteorological Service for Air Navigation, establishes that
verbal  briefings,  consultations,  and  flight  documentation
must be provided to flight crews and operations personnel.
Therefore,  as  a  strategy  to  disseminate  meteorological
information,  such  information  may  be  accessed  online
through  the  tools  made  available  by  the  Meteorological
Service Provider (METP). However, this does not exempt
flight  crews  or  operations  personnel  from  attending  the
corresponding meteorological offices when required.
3 ALCANCE
3 SCOPE

referencia de los aeródromos controlados de Colombia.
among  others,  as  well  as  flight  documentation,  as
applicable,  for  the  preparation  of  flight  operations.  It
also includes aeronautical climatology, such as reference
temperatures of controlled aerodromes in Colombia.
